My reps were born in captivity so don't know the difference. Their whole lives have been spent in a viv, with regular human contact. Wild born snakes only know their natural environments, so it's stressful to take them from the forest and put them in a box.

ahh well, grass snakes dont interest me as far as keeping them as pets is concerned, just people come here saying oooo no dont take them from the wild etccc.... when that had to happen before for them to have their pets, just coz their snakes are now cb, dont mean they can be hypocriteica, as it was good enough at tone time for their snakes ansestors.

i don't disagree with taking wc if their isn't breeding of that species in captivity but their are captive bred grass snakes and slow worms

I love how people jump the gun without me putting in my bit.

This is what i intend to do:

Get hold of a male and female and attempt to breed them, after the birth they will be released back into the wild with their babys. However i will keep one behind for future breedings. I have no intention on keeping a potentially hostile WC animal that will musk every time you go near it. A CB or CF animal will be much easier to handle as well as being useful for putting MORE of them out into the wild as more will survive from incubation rather than outside.

Now feel free to berate me.

Im not jumping the gun, never said you were gona keep them, i just wanted to point out that in mose circumstances this happed at one point for people to have the snakes they have today, when they jumped down your throat for thinking you gona be keeping wild ones, and i pointed out that its hypocritical of them to be like that.

Ya better stock up on frogs and slugs for them, yuk lol. i know they eat frogs n slugs, how grim lol, dunno if they eat rodents though.
