Default Royal Python ;)

Hey, am getting my royal python on thursday, and i got some orchid bark but it seems soily that normal? and do i just put it in viv straght away yeah?? thanks

It depends on many things as to whether to put him in the viv straight away, age, size, viv size...

Its best to leave it in a small tub, for a day and then leave the lid off and leave it come out in his own time and its own terms.

That way, only when he or she is confindent enough to explor will she come out. The benefit is it will feed much better and much sooner.

Well, thats how I did mine and he is health and fit as a fiddle and eats, well, most things!!!

Nooo, its a hatchling in a fanirium and i am putting her onto orchid bark as told to as its god good humidity for them so i mean can i just put orchird bark into the fanirum straight away?? and is it ment to be solily?? Thanks

dry it out a bit mate or humidity will go through the roof bake it in the oven

As i understood things Royals didnt need that high a humidity, not too sure when it comes to hatchlings though.
I would suggest if its that small (hatchling size) you just use kitchen roll on the bottom of the tub along with a simple hide and a water dish.

Agree with the use of kitchin paper as this will allow you to clean out easier and control environment.

microwave that stuff if you decide to use it bud, ive had nothing but problems with mites coming in on that stuff. and as jakk says, dry it out or itl turn your faun into a steamroom! not good for the little guy.
