I was wondering that this morning....

& also what happens in the wild, do the babies go off on their own straight away or doesnt the mother stay with them... Surely its not like other animals where the mum brings them food lol

No it's not necessary, but ours delivered in a birthing box so we run the risk of her squashing them if left in with her, so we got them out when she had finnished.

In the wild the babies will stay with mum in the nest for a couple of hours until they come round, and then they will venture off on their own to find their own food, and go their separate ways. Boa mothers aren't what we'd call maternal based on what mammals are like, but they do interact with the babies when they are first born, stimulate them and will protect them, but thats as far as the mothering instincts go.

Dem dere is sooooo cute. Well done to you, but who and where is daddy? Or is that a silly question and the CSA (Captive-born Snake Association) will track him down, LOL.
