Default Dare i bath my male E.T.B????

Ok as you all know i got my pair of etb's last week

Well when they arrived the male had a peice of shed stuck down his right hand side (afew inch long) now i thought stick him in his viv, theres a nice big bowl of water and humidity is perfect, give it afew days and it will be off! Well it still hasnt came off and doesnt look like its going to any time soon if i just leave it. when spraying the viv i have ensured that i spary directly on to him and that area of his body!
Well last night i fed them and female took no probs, male wasnt interested, i was thinking maybe this stuck shed is irritating him and may put him off feeding and would it be a good idea (i know i will probs get bitten alot) to bath him and help get it off.

Jake

OOooo, you are brave!! I wouldn't myself, especially as he is so new and not settled properly yet. Is the retained shed on his head? Not sure why it would put him off eating?

Wasnt really the biting that worried me with keeping over 10 of these and having basins, it was more the fact with him being new and also an e.t.b and putting him in a bath of water! lol. never had to bath an e.t.b before but it came with this peice stook solid and doesnt look like its shifting so i have no choice!

just bathe him in a sink of lukle warm water, doesn't have to a be a bath. That aid he'll do fine in a bath.

Other alternative is half fill some kind of RUB with water, sling him in and put the lid on that way you don't have to hold/restrain him.
