Unhappy Brb R I

Good morning to you all.

Our BRB has got some sort of problem... her head has swollen a little and she is a bit wheezy. she will be going to the vet as soon as but i was wondering if there was anything i was doing wrong...

Her temps are 32 hot end and 27 cold end
Substrate is T Rex Forest Bed, as this holds humidity levels well
She is in shed at the moment
She has a large water bowl and a nice moss filled hide...

Please help as i really don't want to lose her.....

how long has she been in shed?

If you are worried about RI then there is nothing anyone here can do, GET TO A VETS!

IT could just be a reaction to her shedding, some species are fantastic at that, the majority of reticulated pythons for exapmple will have you beleive they have RI each and every time they slough!

If you suspect RI she needs anti-biotics, which only a vet can provide.

When are you going to the vets? In the meantime keep your temp up a degree or so and hold then the same day and night. If you can get a nebuliser and some f10 to nebulise. Also take her into a steamy bathroom to help loosen any mucus.

well it's your call, you can wait a bit and see if the shed clears it or you can go to the vets.

Have you opened it's mouth up and had a look? If there gunk it's an RI, if it's just whistling a bit it could just be because it's in shed. For the 20 odd quid it'll probably cost I have no idea why you are not at the vets right now.

then leave it for the vet, theres nothing anyone on here can do.

if you examine the inside of it's mouth (might as well start now, as you'll have to medicate it!) you should be able to see if there is any gunk.

Read this this morning, but wasn't sure what to advise, tbh, more than what was said.

Good luck to her, please keep us updated as to what it is, and what happens.
