A few of my lil darlings arnt so bright when it comes to eating the right way, my king snake has no patience when it comes down to it she will just drop the mouse and zoom round her viv looking looking for me to offer her another one, then i have to run the gauntlet and pick it up and offer againe lol.
The others all work it out after a while the boa takes the longest of all of them.

I agree i sit there thinking "thats the wrong end" when my corns get fed. My snow can take upto 25 mins or so just moving it around the feeding tub. You gotta remember theyre not children...as much as we love them, they will cope. At least you didnt lose a finger tho eh

i posted a thread a while back about my boa 'doing it all wrong'...she never did it before so was worried but as someone said to me...'there not known for there brains'...she did however sort herself out after about an hour of trying from the neck then the bum then the neck tut, no way am i gonna try helping her tho
but this week she took it perfectly head first straight down!!!
one of my corns poped his pinky the other week, i didnt wanna tell him it was already dead n theres no need to constrict but hey...got blood on him...but wiped it off ok when he finished n he didnt bother!!!
theyll be ok
