Default advive on qurenteen

hi guys i wounder if you can help iv got a male royal which iv had since hatchling iv handled him every day since then and his as tame and docile he feeding well and is healthy as can be i dont no his exact age ov him but he's just over a ft im getiing a female royal in a few days to keep my male company and possobly breed.i keep the male in a 3ft long viv and its 2ft tall i also have a unuesed samller viv that under 2ft i was thinking about putting the female in that to quenteen her just wanting some advice on how to do it and when

you need another tank altogether im sure a lot of people will agree you cant put them together until they are actually up to breeding size especially the female or you could end up with early bredding and can cause no end of damage to the snakes. personally i think you should keep them seperate until they are of a size to breed!

ideally site the females viv in another room to the male. give each thier own tongs, and keep a bottle of hand sanitiser with you. use disposable hides in the females viv, and use newspaper or kitchen roll as substrate.

try not to handle them on same day. if you do your males water etc one day leave the female alone, and vice versa. if you take the female out one day, dont take the male out the same day. and use sanitiser on your hands once you put the female, or indeed the male, back in vivs, then again before you take them out.
any food one does not eat, bin it.
i do this for a couple of months at least, although the food binning thing is a rule anyway. no one is offered anyone elses food.

thanks for your help guys really big help when she comes ill put her in the 2ft viv in my bedroom and ill leave the male as he is in the main viv but ill not put them together untill thier both a reasonable size thanks guys
