Default Hard, white deposit

I'm probably going to get roasted for asking this but - whats the hard white stuff i find in my royal pythons viv? I thought it was excess calcium leaving her body when she poos, but I sometimes find it a few days before she actually does a poo. Or is it Urates?

It's urates. They're solid, chalky white; sometimes yellow-stained.

Why does it smell so bad - you'd have thought that with all the different morphs available someone should have come up with one that smells nice by now!
