Just seen that link at it will work out very costly compared to say a vison rack.
On that site inc vat it will work out at 3287.65e which is about 2615.99GBP then you will have shipping on top of that which wont be cheap, plus any import tax.

I think the issue is that the freedom breeder racks offer a larger "large" tub size than vision. I CBA to google to check but if memory serves that's the case.

i think its proracks that do a very large one in the uk, its about £1600 the only thing is theyre prefabricated not self assemble and while one would fit in my snake room, there is no way i could actually get it into my house

The pro racks break down really fairly small and you assemble it yourself, the tubs are pre-fab but the largest is only about 4 x 2 so it's not massive... the levels break down at each level, we don't have a big house and had no problem getting the XL pro rack up the stairs.. around the corner.. and into the snake room. Took about 15 trips to carry all the pieces and had to be assembled in the room, there'd be no budging it once it was actually assembled.
I have an old style pro-rack and it isn't perhaps the best at maintaining humidity, ok for boas but I wouldn't want anything high humidity wise in there, but I heard that they had changed the design a little on the newer ones to try and keep the humidity up, and I'm not sure how well any of the racks hold humidity really. I think the Pro Rack worked out at about £250 a level for the XL tubs which is 2 tubs when I was putting mine together, we spent about £1500-1600 all in but have a few different sizes. I still think it was worth th money. Not sure I'd want to be paying 2.5k for a freedom breeder rack. |
