Emergency veterinary care was what was needed, however. Friday evening, at the time you posted, most vets would stil be open for normal working hours. Even if not, emergency vets would have definitely have come out.

That advice was given to you by people in this thread, its unlikely you could have done much your self. I realise how hard it is to get vets that treat exotics, but I think even an average vet would be able to at least try and do emergency care, like stitching, pain relief and things. And, if not, would have been able to PTS if need be.

Again, sorry for your loss, but it seems it could have possibly been avoided.
thats exactly what i thought i mean sorry for your loss and all but ya seemed as if ya allmost couldnt be bothered to go to the vets so ya done a"ill leave it and see how it goes" on the snake summit like that needs vets straight away mate again sorry for your loss but as sead could of possibly been avoided

Do you know what it was yet? With the red scales and some of the other things mentioned in your previous threads it kind of sounds like a burn

I have also read your previous posts when u asked for advice it sounded like a fluid filled blister from a burn do u have an unguarded bulb or other heat source?
I am asking because i would hope this doesn't happen to any more of ur animals one loss is hard enough for you.
Have u managed to find a vet yet as if you keep exotics without a vet you know u can use?

so sorry for the poor snake, but when you posted thursday about the swelling you were advised to take it to the vets. You had all day friday to take it and this is the result.
people on here can advise on none life threatening problems such as stuck shed etc. but not even the reptile vets on here can diagnose and treat an animal over the internet, you really need to research a reptile vet and ways to get there before you continue to ensure that things like this do not happen again.

hi guys thanks for all of your replies they are all understood and taken in i agree i was a bit selfish and never took her but i wanted to try and give her the best care i could i know that a vet would possibly been able to treat her but i dint want to risk losing her and having them say we need to put her down.
She did perk up brilliant and was totally fine and fed and did her normal stuff but when it popped it was like nothing ive ever seen it wasnt fluid it was pure blood and lots of it and they were not burns as light is covered and they rate at which they spread was unreal at one point the tail was going reddy then 30 mins later it had totally inflamed out of no were and she wasnt even in her tank .

OK hun glad you've taken the advice, just a quick note the ailment itself was not your fault and we learn by our mistakes, my rule of thumb with my animals is do I know whats wrong?, and if I do can I treat it myself?, if my answer is no to either question I go staight to the vet.
