Exclamation

very sad announcement the reticulated python in question died last nite she deteroirated so fast i couldnt do anything to stop it at all.
all i know is it was some form of skin disease that made her scales go red then inflate and finally pop with a bloody mess and large gaping wound in the end i think that she was better to go than to stay alive
Thanks so much

x

Im so sorry to hear that. It must have been horrible for it all to happen so suddenly and not being able to do anything about it. RIP poor snakie.

Sorry for your loss there, its terrible.

Emergency veterinary care was what was needed, however. Friday evening, at the time you posted, most vets would stil be open for normal working hours. Even if not, emergency vets would have definitely have come out.

That advice was given to you by people in this thread, its unlikely you could have done much your self. I realise how hard it is to get vets that treat exotics, but I think even an average vet would be able to at least try and do emergency care, like stitching, pain relief and things. And, if not, would have been able to PTS if need be.

Again, sorry for your loss, but it seems it could have possibly been avoided.
