Default do i pull of the bark stuff of or just leave it as its is then bake and so on ?

Guess its up to you, some leave the bark on some remove it. I think theres more a chance that things might be living in the bark, but if your planning on baking it shouldnt make a difference, everything will be killed anyway.

I think the advantage of leaving the bark on is that it provides a nice rough surface to assist animals in shedding, that and i personally think it makes the habitat look nicer and more natural.

Though everyone had thier own preferences.

I would remove the bark, then I just scrub with boiling hot water and maybe some mild detergant and then scrub again. But if you have a big enough oven, that would be grand too.

I always remove the bark never quite know whats under it , then i give it a quick sand, had mites once dont want them again.

If the branch is newly cut from the tree I leave the bark on as it is better for the snake to grip. There will be no wildlife under it.
But if the branch is dead and has been so for a while the bark often starts to become loose and is best removed.
