Default Royal python Eggs Help Urgently needed!!!!

I came home from work on Wednesday night to find that my female ball python had laid 7 eggs, she was coiled around 6 of them and had pushed 1 out, the “slug”
Any way this is my first clutch I have since removed the eggs into an incubator,

My question is. The eggs are laid white in colour and soft to the touch, they are slowly starting to change in colour to a darker pearl colour but are still soft. At what point do the eggs harden or is this not the case, just a little advice would be greatly appreciated

Well, they won't get as hard as chicken eggs do - they'll remain relatively soft.

i don't know a lot about it but as far as i know the eggs don't harden, they stay leathery. did you put the eggs into the incubator the same way up they were laid? whatever you do don't turn them.

As already said, most reptile eggs remain slightly squishy - although plump. They have a leather like texture... the babies do not crack the egg open like a bird would do, they make a small slit with their egg tooth, like tearing fabric, so there is just a small gap they can put their head out.. this enables them to sit in the egg with their head out and not waste too much of the juices which they are still absorbing.

As above but I think I know what you mean about them being soft. When I had my first clutch of royal eggs I thought something had gone terribly wrong as they were like huge water bombs!

Don't worry they are supposed to be like that. They will get a bit more leathery. As long as they are white they are ok.
