I've heard his next series is going to deal with evolution, probably his most controversial piece of work to date. Not that I doubt evolution or natural selection but many do.

Did they explicitly say that all pythons are over 20 feet long, have teeth as long as your hand and breathe fire?

I have no doubt that an anaconda (which is a boa) is just as dangerous as a reticulated python of the same size.

I have no doubt that a twelve-foot BCC is as dangerous as a 12-foot Burmese python male.

I have no doubt that a six-foot BCI is as dangerous as a 6-foot royal.

I have no doubt that a two-foot dwarf boa is as dangerous as a two-foot spotted python.

It should be common sense that a two-foot sand boa is not as dangerous to a human being as a 20-foot reticulated python... but it should also be common sense that an eight-inch anthill python is not as dangerous to a human being as an eight-foot BCI.

I agree that a boa is as dangerous as a python when kept in captivity but as long as you are a responsible keeper the problems are minimised. In fact weight for weight and size for size a boa is probably more dangerous than a python as they have much more power.

That said i do hate all the hate-mongering in some of these programmes it does very little for our hobby

My friends mother is still arguing with me that I require a DWA licence for my Royals. In fact her exact words were "you require a licence to keep ANY type of exotic pet." Followed on with "my friend needs a licence for her Iguana."

So there you have it folks we are all breaking the law, we should all have licences for our exotic pets!

This is also the same woman that tried to tell me that the largest honey bee in the UK is 1.5inches long!

Some people just really annoy me.

I got my first snake yesterday (rainbow boa) and to be honest I was a little scared when the idea was first mentioned to me because of stuff people tell you about snakes. Finding this forum helped a lot though. Its a shame people aren't more informed about snakes though. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be really happy with mine
