No, not at all, but those pictures were accompanied by the events preceding and following the bite so interested parties could follow the progress. It certainly wasn't done for the "wow" factor. As i have posted previously, all these bite pictures would have more relevance and validity if they were accompanied by an explanation of the circumstances which led to them. Without those then all you have left is the "wow" factor unfortunately

All my snakes are youngsters. BRB's are nippy as babies apparently but he only had me once when I didnt move quick enough. My baby cali king seems to go for anything moving at all. If I manage to get him out without getting bitten I cant move my hands. He's very alert and strikes at any movement.

God knows what happened with my corn though. I was handling him fine. He stopped moving, tongue stopped and he latched onto my hand. I'm guessing it was a feeding response or something.

The more animals you have and the longer you have them, the more chance there is of getting bitten. Look at Mark O'Shea and the late Steve Irwin.

i for one am glad to see this thread as i am relitivly new have had bp for over yr and just got a boa last month. i never would have even thought of the boa seeing me as a threat in that way. so maybe just maybe this one post will save me one bite . plus reading all the post on this thred has given me more info on how to prevent a bite than any care sheet or other means i have found on the net so thanks for all the info and thanks to the one who started this thred

So are kingsnakes known for being quite bitey ? It seems a lot of the bites on this topic have been from kings of some sort or other, so is it a high possibility that if you're a king owner, you will be bitten at some point ?

Think they are more when they're younger probs like any hatchling, or you might get the odd one or two who like to try and eat you occasionally or whatever. Most don't have a bad temperment, mines never bitten anybody even when she was a baby, shes gonna be 12 years old next month too

My royal though.. you can't get near the glass without him having a go
