It's worth noting that this is NOT the typical result of a mangrove bite. Stuart is just lucky enough to have been blessed with a bite worthy of documentation. The way people are reacting they'll be back on the DWAL before the end of the year!! LOL

Lol...my first bite was an adult male albino striped cali king... I didn't even realise I had been bitten until I saw the teeth marks and blood to be quite honest.

Had dozens of royal bites since then, mainly hatchlings...and a number of corn bites.

It's not so much the pain as they really don't hurt; its the adrenalin rush that makes you kinda shaky when they catch you unaware!

My male mojave royal is a complete nutter, strikes every time you go near him...not got me yet though.

Nearly got bitten by a large male albino burm; missed me by millimetres - he was in shed at the time, and hungry...so that would have been interesting

It's awful 'waiting' for your first bite though, once you've been bitten you know what it's all about etc and makes the next time easier; and you a little less apprehensive. (Depending on the bite!)

I've been bitten 3 times. Black Blood Python male, about 2 foot that bled but didn't hurt. A juvenile Burm, 4.5ft at the time again that bled but no pain. The worst was from a 8 foot African Rock that bled and hurt, the same one went for the guy that owned him(own fault) he was 14 foot at the time and broke his wrist pretty badly.
