Stat or No Stat For Baby Corn in Plastic Tub?

I have not heard of a reptile heatmat with a built in thermostat.

No, there are no currently marketed heat mats (or heat rocks) with a built in user-controlled thermostat.

There is one heat rock that claims to have a built-in thermostat, but it does heat up to 110 degrees fahrenheit (and is designed to cut out if the rock reaches 130 degrees - yeah, that's great, it's already brain-damaged or killed my reptile, cheers) ... and this temperature cannot be lowered or changed by the user unless you plug it into a conventional thermostat.

The only heating equipment I know of that come with a built in user-can-set-the-temperature thermostat are the reptile radiators and AHS units.

I have to say though, i like the idear of a mat with a bulit in stat. Would cost more i know, but ide get them. All those less wires to worry about hiding.

After reading your other thread it's clear to see you don't deserve to be keeping reptiles, or any other pet for that matter. Do your animals a favour and give them to someone who gives a toss and can care for them properly!!!

Strong words, but your dead right. When i got my first snake i wouldnt have drempt of keeping him without a stat. Anyone that does this should try laying on a radiator and see how their skin looks after a few hours! Sick!

Yeah the shop lied. In a glass tank you will end up with a cracked tank and a burnt or cut snake to be honest. Go on ebay and you can get a stat for less than £20.
