Well size of the snake determines what size of prey item the snake should be eating. Which in this case could be the reason for the aggression the snake is showing.
I've noticed with my Cali at this time of year he gets very active and will investigate everything that moves and will make the occasional strike and also bite and hold for a good while. This behaviour usually ends around july time. Not sure why the change in behaviour, maybe its seasonal or because he's horny as a toad. On the other hand my MBK remains chilled out all year.
