surinam boa constrictor
i have had my boa constrictor since january 08 and dont power feed it i got it at 24inches long and is now 40 inches long i was wondering is this growing fast?it gets one nice sized meal every 6 days gunna add some old and new pics soon just wanted to know what people thought ow ye its a girl a surinam bcc and is 9 months old

hhhhmmm possibly growing a little too fast as surinames can be prone to regurge problems if over fed,
i would suggest to feed every 7-10 days.

Looks a bit too big as there's some scale stretch on the sides, as said by tigger regurge can be an issue but another not so known problem with redtails fed too quickly is it seems to mess em up inside which is why we don't see so many CB TRUE Bccs for sale because they don't breed as overfeeding has caused premature growth which imbalances hormones and everything inside goes awol.

My 07 male is probably around 30" maybe and still on small/med mice - i feed my redtails slow to avoid problems and my female was the same, very small, slow growing then hit 2yrs and puberty for want of a better word and just rocketed herself so i'd be feedin 7-10days.
