Default boa sheds??

My female 5 ft boa has shed 2 times in 6 weeks, is this ok? Iv only had her 6 weeks, and a few days after getting her she shed, then a few days ago she shed again *shruggs*

yep.

couple of things:

it's probably getting more food now
Snakes often shed when moved into new environments, we have royals that will go into slough after a trip round the block in the car!

my female shed around every 3-4 weeks so yeah sounds fine

aye, a new environment will often trigger a random shed. You notice it more with adults than youngsters, because they settle into a shedding rythm when adults and you soon notice a mis timed shed.

Does it mean she is stressed though?

She is a bugger lol, she keeps ripping down the background and decor lol.

not stress as such, adapting to a new environment. I can only assume that the act of shedding makes the place smell nice and familar and safe. It must spread that snakes scent around the viv pretty well.

does this mean snakes can shed as a comfort thing so to speak to make them selves feel more comfortable after a bit of a "disturbance"??
