just bought this guy today, hes such a nice snake in every way, the guy who sold it to me said it was a red tail boa, what do you guys think

looks like BCC body wise but tail doesnt look bright enough

the tail is alot brighter its almost orange, i only paid common prices as the guy couldnt prove its a red tail

don't know if it helps or not but here is a couple of pix of our red tail girl for you to compare with yours, her tail is def red.





I would suggest taking pix outside if possible so you get a true likeness of the colour and then post them....


The white between the red saddles looks promising, maybe it will colour up more as it gets older too.

Also remember there are a few different types of red tail, mainly Suriname and Guyanan but also Peruvian too.
I post on a dedicated site for red tails, you can find it if you google red tail forums, they are pretty good at telling you info about your snake if you ask.
