Default Affectionate Snakes?

I've been reading that quite alot of people find that their snakes (in particular the larger snakes) show affection towards them and also show a strong preferance to be handled by them (e.g. trying to get away from one person to be held by the other) and i was wondering has anyone found anything like this with their snakes? Find it quite interesting, would quite like to know about your experiences

My eldest corn goes nuts if she's held by anyone else.. she'll constrict their hand and adopt the S position, but never actually strikes, she never has. But the minute I take her back, she just loosely gets her grip on me, and sits there as still and calm as anything. What can I say, she has good taste

They could well recognise your scent and know they are safe but if its a stranger, they are just getting in position to protect themself if something happens.

thats really sweet lol, but i have to say on my course we are aught not to ave an 'anthropomorphic' view, which means i shudnt put human emotions on animals so i ind 'are snake affectionate' quite a difficult question to answer

There's no such thing as an affectionate snake.

They 'bear' us at most.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for my snakes to feel about me the same way I do about them, but is just isn't going to happen.

If you have a snake that just about stands your company, you are on to a winner.
