Everyone, i am going away at the weekend and i am leaving my snake at my mothers house. He will still be in his viv etc, question is it falls on feeding day, should i just wait until i'm back before attempting to feed him as i assumed it would be worse feeding him and then moving him ?

are you heat/light arrangements on a timer? if so I'd just leave him where he is. feed him and change his water before you go and change his water again as soon as you come back and he'll be fine. I wouldn't stress him by moving him for the sake of 2 days.

I've found my milksnake to be damn near bomb proof. You could put him on night temps for the couple of days while you're away and he'll be fine when you get back. Or even leave him on day temps - remember, where they come from, temps aren't a constant. Everywhere has warm nights or cool days from time to time. He'll be right as rain

If he's on a manual thermostat set it to a night setting so if we have a heat wave (as if) it isn't going to kill him. If we have a cold snap at least the stat will allow him some heat. You should really invest a few quid in a proper stat, it's well worth it.
Graham.
