But that highlights an important point...if our snakes might benefit from(not need) a bit of UV, but have never been given it, then a statement like "they haven't got any and they have been just fine" doesn't really tell us all that much. If we've never given them UV then we don't have anything to compare it to so we don't actually know if they could be better/healthier than they currently are.

What would be really interesting would be to hear from people who've kept snakes under UV and then stopped using UV on them.

All my vivs are lit with 2% repti-glo tubes. The chams have a 2% for lighting and a 5% to help with UV penetration into the viv
