Default my advise

2 b honest mate u shud get a boa 1st, get used 2 the size of them. a boa can reach 8ft feet wich dont sound that big but its still a powerfull snake. get used 2 a adult boa before even thinkin about gettin a burm.

yeah get a boa ive got a burm hes just over 8ft soft as a kitten but when he wants to be he can be a handfull and hes still getting bigger! in hind sight it probably wasnt my best idea but its been a very steep learning curve including a few nasty moment and im glad i di it but i wouldnt recomend it as ya first big snake

ye. i know someone who got a burm as a 1st big snake. against my advise, all he had before was corns.
it got 2 11 feet a bit quicker than he was expecting and kept gettin me 2 go round 2 get it out wen it was time 2 clean the tank. she is stunning tho.

I think it's generally accepted that a boa constrictor is a good large snake to gain experience with before moving on to the big 5.

A boa would be a better choice mate, theres no point in buying a snake so it can get too big and you have to give it away after a year or two. If you can't house any snake at the end don't get it at the begining.
