id love something big like a burm or a boa but we have kids in the house and another on the way so wouldnt risk it

Ya just gotta not mix the two is all.......unless you really don't like the kids!

Seriously though, a spare room for the reps and a lock would keep the kids away

I'd definately go with a boa to start with, mine is just under a year old & almost 4 1/2 ft and shes got a lovely tempermant, on the other hand my mates got an albino burm thats just past 1yr old & already topping 6 1/2ft

"Is that a Burm ?" in my best Inspector Clouseau accent.

I've seen them at £1k a pair. You can pick males up for around £500 and females usually a bit more.
