Are you sure you have tried everything, assist feed should be one of the last resort as it does really stress the snake out.

Have you tried live, chick scented, even a chick, washing the mouse/rat with soap, even lizard scenting.
I have also found that the way you defrost the food can make a difference with some fussy feeders
e.g.
* defrosting the food in warm water.
* leaving it out to defrost naturally then heating up with hairdryer.

If all fails you use a smallish sized mouse/rat then hold the snake behind the head and gently push the mouse into the snakes mouth, it should then instinctively open its mouth. Try pushing in about half way and it should then eat it n its own, if it does spit it out push the mouse down further.

Hope this helps.

never heard of washing it with soap, that sounds a bit dodgy, id imaging that if any thing that would make him not want it even more, i might be wrong though.

as above, you may find that a live feed would be enough to trigger him back into feeding..id consider live before assist feeding..

actually washing the mouse removes any scent from the mouse, this can sometimes get a non feeder interested as it will then just go by its heat senses (if it has them)
