i always take my corn out to eat, i feed it in a red washing up bowl LOL.
whilst my boa will only eat in his enclosure.

corns will eat anytime anywhere though. royals are funny buggers.

What time of day are you trying to feed? My royal is always out and about once it starts to get dark - only time she spends a lot of time in her hide is when she's in shed. Could be yours isn't hungry - I wait till mine are in hunting mode for a couple of days before feeding they always make themselves visible then
