don't know if its been mentioned but repeat evry 5-7 days to beat the lifecycle of the mites for at leat 3 weeks, otherwise you'll have mite eggs hatching from the little cracks you couldn't clean and they'll never go! this is the most important aspect in beating mites

right this is what i think you need to do even if you only see 1 in the water bowl ;-
*take everything out ur tank and clean it very well from top to bottom inside and out with a boiling hot water and tcp about 4 pints to 1 cap of tcp.and dont forget the ater bowl too. * then cover with bottom with news paper *get a large tub and fill half full with veg oil *but your snake in it make sure it is totally covered in oil make it stay in it for 5 -10 mins * put your snake back in the tank * repeat this every 3 days for 2 weeks. please belive me if there is 1 mite in the tank then within a couple of weeks there will be hundreds trust me. mite eggs can come in the bark etc and lay doorment untill in a warm moist viv. this should work the oil thing is a trade nac pluss its cheap and works better than anything else. melissa |
