Ive been there also some years ago now and it was scruffy then and the animals didn't look to great tbh inadequate housing for alot of them and there was a large burm in a bottom dirty Viv that you could just make out through the glass being that dirty. he seemed a ok guy but still no need for them kind of conditions...

We had a shop like that near us. Problem i think is, it didn't get shut for keeping the
snakes in crappy conditions, it got sold for selling kids drugs. . .

anybody wanting to go there i am happy to meet ehm (at weekends) and ahve a ride up./. i live like 5 mins away from the place...

sad thing is they still make sales... their staff are rude and often swear at customers.. they have this same 10-12 year old selling everything from guns-guine pigs and they never get closed perm ....


the guy who "OWNS" the shop is sound... he hasnt got a clue what hes on about but hes a sound guy.. just needs the staff to help him out..

i once offered to work for the cost to feed my snakes.. essentialy a few mice a week at the time.. and never heard back from them.. so left it...

stupid thing is.. theres a big double door being helf with 1 padlock and a chain from the other side... wich you can easily pull open and cut the bolt... no alarm on the door..

id half considered going up and clearing him out.. meh

doesnt make sense why they havent been shut n banned, my stepdads shop has a few rabbits n gunea pigs etc, out of all of the cages one didnt have water n was pointed out by a customer, coupleof days later environmental agency or whatevr it was came round to check up on us, they said everything was fine,could just do with being a bit cooler, so if we got all that from one water bottle how have they not been banned permanently?????

Its not good I agree.

We have a shop which has begun to stock a couple of corns and geckos...
I pointed out politely that the leos should not be on sand. Also the corns need a hide at both ends and explained why. I said I'd help if they wanted.
The woman got a bit off at me saying that if they had two hides then the customers would not see them, the bloke said a certain company endorsed (and supplied)the use of sand and said one hide would be ok. That the corns seemed ok and the leos were on sand they sell.

So that was that.
