Default What is wrong with my snake?

Every year my Sinaloan milksnake acts really weird and goes off his food for the summer months. He gets a whole lot more active, watches me constantly through the glass and will try to escape over and over.

He will not touch his food no matter what I try and he does this every single year (he's six now and I've had him four years). Usually he stays in his cave and I barely see him, but at the moment he just doesn't keep still.

What's wrong with him and why won't he eat?

Do you think? I've never given him a cooling down period though...Is it possible? He was used for breeding before I got him. How long is this likely to last if he is just horny lol

He wants to mate.
It'll likely last until Autumn/Winter.

He's trying to lay out next to you to see if he's big enough to eat you yet...

Sorry, your vet is talking c**p!!!!!!

This is a prime example of needing to ensure your vet is an exotic specialist.

As a male, he wants to mate, no big drama.
