Default is this true?!

some guy came to our house today for some reason..he was weird..and we got talking, he told me that his friend in Cornwall own the biggest, and the oldest snakes in captivity. He told me the sname was an amazing 25 foot long.

Is this true?!

I do not dispute that a snake can get that big, but i'm certain he said in was a Burmese Python..

..i'm no expert in snakes, i've just nipped over from the lizard section to ask.

Very few Burms have reached and indeed exceeded that length. I only know of about 2 or 3 to get there.

I don't personally buy it unless I'm there with string and tape to measure it! People BS and guestimate lengths which usually come up a LOT shorter when properly measured.

I would say it is rubbish as I would probably know him if he did. I know most of the big snake keepers around here.

I'm pretty sure the longest snake in captivity is a retic in a zoo in America, although this may be longest ever in captivity rather than currently alive in captivivty. Either way, I think he's prob talking poop.
