Hi, so far my first king snake has taken 2 pinkies (one on wendesday, one sat night/sun morning, and I've missed it both times)

How should I carry on raising the food intake, sizes etc. Also at the moment she is being drop fed, should I change to tongs or keep as it is?

Shes a couple of months old (I think)

Its a little unclear from your post what you mean. Do you mean that you have just left the food in and it has eaten in its own time overnight?

If it has and this its it's prefered way to eat then that's fine carry on this way. Whilst it's exciting for the keeper to see the snake strike and feed, in the long run, especially with kings who are food orientated its better for them and you to not see everything that enters their enclosure as food. Even though their bites are not even worth mentioning on the damage/pain scale.

as for food size don't rush it go by the size of the snake no more than 1.5x the size of the girth. Better a lean healthy snake than a fat one.

I was told to feed mine by the rule of 3. When it will eat 3 pinkies in one feed then its time to move on to fuzzies. When it can take 3 fuzzies its time to move on to small mice and so on.
