Default Vivarium size poll.

Hi guys,

I have an 08 boa on its way to me on Saturday and i'm not sure whether i should go for the larger viv 6 x 2 x 2 (i already have this in prep for when he grows) or section it to a smaller one. There is lots of mixed advice everywhere and i wondered what everyone has done or would suggest.

Obviously don't want to freak out the baby with lots of space but i like the idea or a large viv with lots to do. ie. shelves hides and logs etc. What is the general opinion on here?

Please vote.

Thanks

Clair

Default viv size

section to smaller as he will feel more secure and feed more readily and as he calms will be easier to handle

I think you should section it off. If you leave it open the snake will probably only stay in one end anyway.

you could also every now and agian give it more space, so it gets used to it.

i would go for a large contico or similar inside the vivarium, and then release when he grows up a bit
