Thanks i am looking forward to many years of happy Anaconda keeping.
I also have a Royal Python and a Suriname Red Tail Boa so am used to larger snakes but will see how the tempermant situation goes!!!!!

mmmmmmmmmm i am afraid i dont believe you my friend, Unless the internet, books and everyone in very reputable shops including the one i bought it from and spoke to about them is completely wrong of course

On holiday my Mum went water skiing. She fell off when she was going very fast. She says she won't do it again because water shot up her fanny (Julie age 7)

i thought it was yellow condas that where of the smaller species? but im no expert on condas

yes yellow anaconda's are the smaller species, greens the larger. the arguement here is to do with the common misconception that males will always stay significantly smaller than females. while males have a greater chance of staying at a smaller size, to say that they max out at 12 foot is utterly incorrect. as i say i know of significantly larger specimens. the largest male is one that has been tagged out in venezuela SA and that seems to be an exceptional size, but thats not to say males dont have the ability to get t othat size

Thats right yellow are the smaller of the 3 species of Anaconda but Males are much smaller than Females...

ive read that cb normally average out about 15ft
but,and a very big but,they have the potential to grow 29ft (i know what you read on the internet is never gospel)

Yellows are smaller than greens, but the male greens dont grow that big. Like said before its normally about 12ft and it will take ages to get there because they grow slower than burms and retics. Id say if there was a 20ft male green then whoever probed it was wrong.
