Our corn strikes she goes absolutely ballistic feeding time, anyone would think shes starving, minus a 7 day break for next feed

Dammit I hate that hunger strike royals have a habbit of doing, im dreading it, if it happens to my 2 boys.

Yup great feeling *pats monty gently on the head* Scorned look at Topaz *hurry up will ya*

is there any advantage to strike feeding , or is it it how you should feed royal's , just wondering as i just place a warmed defrost in , and within 5 mins he/she strikes and eats it no problem , so far every time ! (exept in shed!) so i planned to continue this method, or should i be encourage it to strike from tongs?

Its what they do in the wild & its better for the snake as it lets them think that its caught its food, plus easier on the owner.

Dont ever feed the snake in the viv, always take it out & place in some kind of container & use tweezers to food with, the chances of you being bitten by your snake if you feed in the viv are probally around 95% as it will associate your hand everytime thinking its dinner time.

Aww good luck I still have Topaz to sort out, & hopefully this strike wont be the last, he had better strike again next feed,
