it really depends. being a boa fan i would go with the brbs. they are beautiful and get to a nice size a long with being pretty docile. i do keep amazon tree boas though and can tell you arboreals make amazing display animals but maintenance can sometimes be a hassle.
it depends. i have seen tame amazons and tame GTPs... i have also seen incredibly mean ones. it depends what kind of snake you want. a pet snake or a display animal

you hit the nail on the head!
GTPs would suit you better with more experience. i dont knwo how much experience you have but BRBs would be a lot more forgiving on mistakes and what not

well seeing these reply's is makin me think i should go for a BRB instead off a GTP since id rather have more off a pet kind off snake than a display snake..

I think you should think about the fact that if you want both of these snakes then eventually you'll probably get them both.
So really the question is which to get first. I'd go with BRB as you'll get some experience with a snake that likes humidity, which I don't think your others really require. Start saving for the GTP now though, then when you find one you like you won't have to wait.

I dont know what all this is about agression from GTPs, and I think its given them a really bad name! I've never been bitten, hissed at, or even struck at (apart from in a feeding situation) by a GTP. I personally think 99% of people who say that they are agressive are people who have never actually owned one.... GTPs are just highly strung, and generally dont like being handled. They're not very active, and are the classic "Sit on a stick all day" snake.
Whats more GTPs are not that hard to look after, I had my first one as a step up from corn snakes, and all I did was read and ask questions about it so I knew what I was doing when I got her. GTP care is just VERY specific, their conditions have to be met 100% of the time with no compromise. Unlike corns who are quite alright with some husbandry mistakes, GTPs are very unforgiving. Not enough humidity, they will shed badly, not enough heat, they simply wont eat. If you have the time to research, dedication to maintain a "perfectly controlled" viv, and are willing to accept that they are for looking at, not handling all the time, then GTPs are the snake to go for. Then, I'm a bit one sided as I dont like Rainbow Boas.
