Hi, I am setting up my Milk Snake's viv and I was wondering, shall I microwave the Aspen shavings or put them straight in?
Thanks,
Dan.

I put mine in the freezer overnight when I first buy it, then its ready when I need it instead of having to bake a bit everytime I want some

Its just a precaution. The chips should be fine but if they have been stored near snakes that have mites at some point then they could contain eggs.
