Default Help please..

Hi, im having a stack built. But need your help...

Should i have all tubs or all vivs?

The only problem with vivs is, i cannot change my mind drastically about what snakes to keep, as the size will be restricted. Where as if i had tubs, i could buy them in at most sizes...

Erm, will be selling more or less all the time lol. Swapping for something higher in morph ect.

But they will be the same species.

well you could have a stack with different size vivs like a big one on the bottom, and getting smaller as they go up? but it would probably be easier with rubs.

50L tubs will do most small to medium sizes of colubrids, including most corn snakes, and a variety of king snakes - but not all, as it really does depend on how big they grow. Same with royals, a male might be fine in a 50L tub but a 4-5foot 2kg female is going to be pretty cramped. You want to be able to fit hide/water bowl and still have space for them to exercise.

Large royals, large colubrids, small species of rainbow boa, small-medium size boa constrictors etc. will do better in the 36x16" style ikea tubs.

Arboreals such as atbs, etbs, gtps etc. can be put into the taller RUB's - nothing offers more floor space than the 50L, but you can go up to 64 and then 84 which effectively doubles the height for climbing species.

Plasterers baths or professional racks are then used to provide 4 x 2 or bigger tubs for large boas, retics, and so on.

I assume you are building up a breeding collection as to be honest using tubs are for the benefit of the space for people, not for the benefit of the snakes. If you only have a few animals I would always recommend vivariums.

Do you plan to get a pet shop license then?

Nope, not getting a license. I wont need to

hatchlings will be for sale 2 times per year. And then the adults will be swapped for higher morphs ect

Might just end up keeping adults and adding to them lol
