Well, I have a light in my new viv now and though the bulb is too small and can't get up any heat that would hurt the snake or change the temperature, I thought it might be wise to get a guard anyway. However most of the guards I've seen are either faaar too big or so small they wont fit over the light.

Anyone got any good ideas on maybe making a DIY one?

chicken wire and zip ties. think that's what they used? or you could go and get a larg siv from th £1 shop.

This is rubbish. I've been to all the stores I know and can't find a bulb guard that the snake wouldn't get through or any mesh that is small enough to work..

Currently using a 15W red pigmie bulb just for lighting.
