You should keep your females 6 months then grow up some babies!...otherwise, when your original females die...you will have no breeding stock!!

The first two females bought will die of old age but the rest will stock the freezer.
Its a good idea mate, but for one snake its not really worth it tbh. Good luck anyway, let us know how you get on

And the first time one of them bites you that'd change your mind right back. Having one jump nine inches straight up to latch her teeth into my hand was NOT pleasant at all!

You may have gotten some that have at least sort-of been selected for friendliness; that said, I must admit that I carried one upstairs once to show to someone, saying "we've finally got females that don't bite as soon as you touch them" and the little git promptly chomped down on my hand as soon as the visitor saw her and leaped onto the floor.

I Think they like warmer temps as originally from africa..., and would have thought for breeding the more comfortable the better with plenty of clean water. Mine are in a tank at the cooler end of my Rep room......read other threads about the fores an against to do with keeping in same room.. ill just monitor it an as I wont be handling them like pets and always wash my hands before holding snakes even between handling different snakes of my own... OCD Hhhhhmmmmm. As winters coming.. or already here id be against putting in the shed without a steady heat source.

Im building the gas tub today( found when typed "Killing Mice" on the search bar here). Something i wasn't keen on doing but something my snakes need which is important and saves cash while knowing where the foods coming from and what its been fed.
