Default ATB Cages

24 to 30 inches long and 2 foot high is ideal. Its quite possible to achieve a basking spot of 86F with cool areas of 75F in a viv of that size. If the cage is too much bigger its difficult to set up a decent humidity cycle. Drying the substrate is difficult too without using heat mats etc.

Adult males do well in exoterras of 45 by 45 by 60 tall. Females often get a lot bigger so the 2 foot version would be better.

Hope this helps.

Stephen

Thanks Fellas, and everyone else who helped me out ,

the ATB im getting will only be 6weeks old when i get it, so a long way off needing an adult sized viv yet, but its nice to be prepared lol, ill likely go with the exo terra for males and no doubt build a custom set-up for the females, i do intend to breed so its nice to know requirments for both sexes

Thanks again

if it was a little wider it would be ideal, 2ft cubes are ideal for atbs though, a 6ft atb is in reality a skinny little bundle, compared to a ball or something, iv used 2ft cubes and thier a nice mix of not too big for them to freak out and not too big too heat
