to be honest now it was the last thing i was thinking of, plus the livefood usually comes all bagged up so there isn't even the slightest flicker of interset from the snakes in a cold bag, but a warm hand thats smells of chicken, now thats just too tempting.... the other hand now didn't smell of chicken, so im not sure what his excuse is for that one... just revenge for stealing his meal...

This month i ordered day old chicks to keep the mice cool instead of icepacks, i was being very cunning i thought... until of course two things caught me off guard and one snake took me by surprise... Firstly i open the box (still holding the snake absentmindedly) and the chicks aren't in a seperate bag but simply loose around the mice loosely wrapped in a tesco bag wrapped in bubble wrap, and myself shabbily opening the tesco's bag in one hand resulted in my throwing a couple of very dead chicks across the room... This was the first stumbling block for my mind the second was the fact the for a day old, chicks are a dam site bigger than i imagined... So im standing there totally perplexed as to what im going to do with 20chicks which are far to big i didn't notice the snake in my right hand sliding towards the chick in my left hand...
Until of course it struck...
My thumb...

Now to add insult to injury, as i prize the snake from one hand, he immediately latches onto my other hand thinking he's been robbed of a meal... both hands i cry!
,i have never been tagged like that before.
cheers rick

I have to say after i got over the initial shock of being tagged on my left hand i thought it was quite funny, it was deserved, it was the most stupid thing to do... ever... but all mirth faded after the second strike, at that point i started to worry and had visions of myself standing in the same spot weeks later just transfering a snake from hand to hand to hand to hand....
