Default Taken By Surprise

Well here is what happened, there i was holding my lovely corn when the door bell rings, i answer said door to find the monthly livefood order for my beasties has just turned up, but this time with a twist... This month i ordered day old chicks to keep the mice cool instead of icepacks, i was being very cunning i thought... until of course two things caught me off guard and one snake took me by surprise... Firstly i open the box (still holding the snake absentmindedly) and the chicks aren't in a seperate bag but simply loose around the mice loosely wrapped in a tesco bag wrapped in bubble wrap, and myself shabbily opening the tesco's bag in one hand resulted in my throwing a couple of very dead chicks across the room... This was the first stumbling block for my mind the second was the fact the for a day old, chicks are a dam site bigger than i imagined... So im standing there totally perplexed as to what im going to do with 20chicks which are far to big i didn't notice the snake in my right hand sliding towards the chick in my left hand...
Until of course it struck...
My thumb...

Now to add insult to injury, as i prize the snake from one hand, he immediately latches onto my other hand thinking he's been robbed of a meal... both hands i cry!

Well, I must say, a rather stupid thing to do!.......
Opening food while having the snake in hand. Tsk tsk

What more could you expect!!? Hahaha
I am definitely going to get it soon from my snake. There's just too many stories on here lately and I'm sure I'll be next......
