Default my female hoggy hissed at me, lol

i fed them on saturday and when they had finished feeding and i was taking them out their boxes to put em back in tanks she hissed at me the little madam, i know theyre known for doing it so im not worried or owt, i just thought it was funny, lol craig thinks im nuts

lol, I love snakes with a bit of attitude, when I go to get my king out, it will curl up exactly like a rattlesnake, and rattle its tail, and sort of strike, but head but instead of bite, and as soon as I pick it up, it will curl up around my hands hahahaha

all part of what makes hognoses such excellent snakes - they work well as pets, but always retain a bit of wild moodiness about them.

just watch if she gets too hissy, she may strike. It's not particularly dangerous, but its quite unpleasant nonetheless.

Mine hisses and puffs when she doesn't want her food (not often she doesn't want food though!!)

mine are so different, the male has refused food twice since i have had em, the female always eats what she gets, he is laid back and chilled she is a right little madam she will have ya chasing her all over tank to get her out but he just sits there and lets ya pick him up.

Both my female and male are very tame and calm. That was the only time I saw Ozzy having a bad day. He's been fine since.
