I've already tried everything, except for things I won't do myself such as braining / force feed.

I'll keep offering prey, and hope she'll eventually go back to feeding.

She seems more active than in the past though. She often comes out for a wander about and basking.

sound slike she just wants to breed Dex... Mine is exactly the same at the minute. He's is much more active but unlike you mine hasn't fed since the end of february! He's a little swine

Braining really isn't anything to get worried about either. Tried it the other week, just used a stanley knife to cut open the head but as its been dead and frozen for a while nothing comes out. I didn't really want to do it but gave it a go.

Another tip (which I've tried any failed) is to put them into a pillow case with the food. Try scenting it with chick, braining etc as meantioned. Then tie it up and place in teh hot spo of there viv.

How long would it be before you got worried about a baby not eating? Mine's 'fannying' about lol, probably cos he was only recently moved.... (Plus I fell into the hole of 'oh he hasn't eaten it I'll try again tomorrow' - oooops)

yeah you'll need to let the dude settle in a bit first... Your best bet when feeding is to put the pinkies in over night and leave him there whilst its nice and quite. Failing that put him in a small tub with the pink and place in the viv. The enclosed space should entice him into eating

I did put him in a takaway tray (with holes lol) last night with a pinky in to no avail... I guess I'll leave him alone some more!

our corn is a very slow eater, we have had him for a couple of months now and he has never "stricked" at the pinkies, we have always had to leave them in overnight. is this something that he will grow out of it? oh and when left to his own contraptions i have seen him take the food tail first. any comments on this?

my royal is THE most awkward eater ever!!! She always takes a small mouse first, then something larger. i have tried to get her out of this habit, but she is having none of it. I can handle this though if it means she will eat.

I have noticed though, that she gets into some shapes when swallowing the item. like really awkward bending at the neck area. If she straightened out the food would go down easier. Is there anything i can do?? it takes her ages to swallow anything.

Nothing to worry about, oddly enough quite a few captive babies take their pray tail first, its like they are loosing the instinct to take the hear, mind you in the wild they would be eating live and would naturally go for the warmest part of the prey (the head)
Some snakes are slow eaters and just like to eat in their own time in private and will never strike. your snake is perfectly normal
