hi there,

i have been going through al lthe tips mentiond. Thers a few i cant do as i dont have access to the items yet.

We have 4 corn snakes, all hatchlings. Im a first time snake owner, i did get laods of advice about corn snakes and buy a book plus full viv and everything first before i got the snakes.

back round info, we have a little anthristic girl we have called ivy. she was Hatched in april and has had quite a few feeds. But she wont feed with us, even though her sister will. We have tryed almost all of the tips sugested i think the trouble is shes getting to stressed. We moved back down to a smaller tub and left her 3 days then offerd her food and she has not taken it, the last time she ate was 9 days ago but the breeder came and assisted her. shes been here about 3 weeks now and only had that one meal 9 days ago. Im not overy worryed, its just her sister is so much bigger ans stronger form eating. my question is when should i get really worryed? at what point should i get her to a vet? the breeder said shes fine just stresssed, as a first time snake owner id like adivce form other places.

I have recently changed from using tap water to using bottled water for my bubs and the other 2 non feeders have today taken a pinkie by themself (first feed since changing water last week)

Prob not why but its worth a go right?xxx

hi all i know im neew to this forum but id have to agree that live feeding should only be as a last resort i have had to live feed once in the ten years iv been keeping royals its not something i would want to do again fingers crossed i wont have to

our lot get tap water but not fresh, out of a spray bottle, as thats how the breader was filling there water dishes up. but ill try anything ty for the suggestion

speak to Wohic, shes good with non feeding hatchlings,

apart from that sounds that this little one is stressed, i would say leave alone for 5-7 days then off a small feed,

when offering a feed, if the snake does not stike for it, leave in tub/viv and allow then to take in there own time, if not taken within 24hrs remove the food,

also do not try to offer every day, this will cause more stress to the snake, always leave a for at least 36-48 hrs before trying again.

woohoo ty ppls she ate, ivy ate a pinky rubed in chick and then the ferrets ate the chick im so please, ingers crossed she keeps it down big thanks to Wohic

theres a product available called mouse maker,if you put it on food items it apparently works like catnip and drives snakes nuts for it.its said to induce feeding if a snakes reluctant

After 50 days refusing meal, my royal ate again tonight
