Default can snakes breed all year round?

i was speaking to a friend of mine and he said that some snakes can breed all year round , and there is no need for cooling.
i know cooling dosent neceserily need to be done but it increases the chances of having babes but i didnt know some snakes can breed all year round???????????

Each snake is different, and can originate from a huge variety of natural habitats. I like to try to simulate the enviromental conditions that mine would experience in the wild, to encourage natural behaviours to continue as much as possible.
Some snakes will produce young several times a year - such as my Boiga nigriceps can produce 3 clutches yearly whilst others can do so once or twice yearly. I think that there are also somethoughts that whilst we attempt to breed many snakes each year, in the wild some may only produce every other year. This theory might explain why many captive bred snakes produce stil born/dud eggs etc when bred frequently

I've often thought about this with regards to Royals, other than the health issues as laying a clutch of eggs often takes hundreds of grammes out of a female, but would they be able to get pregnant again in a short space of time.

I know this wouldn't happen in capive situations, again for the health issues but what about in the wild??

I guessing you cant or its really bad for the snake as all the top breeders would be quids in producing 2 clutches a year.

Good news on the pied scottie, you said you were going to get one when I 1st joined.

I used to have house snakes and they would produce 4 clutches a year.
I know of several other snakes that do the same.
Depends on what you want to work with
Stephen.
