I've used hypoaspis mites on my snails, but figured that since the mites need it to be humid to survive, they wouldn't be good to use on my milksnake.

Spent 2 1/2 hours last night, disected the viv, soaked the BCI for 1 hour cleaned the viv out 3 times, soaked, spayed rinsed everything, treated the BCI put him back in with everything (including him!) gleaming......still found 2 mites this morning looks like I'll be doing it again! First time I've had them so guess it is another steep learning curve....poor boy, he is such a sweety of a snake and I feel so dreadful he has them

I have 16 corn snake juveniles in small standard faunariums and I've spotted one with mites on him and in the water dish, I put a rim of vaseline around the top of his tub to prevent wanderers from going into other tubs, and give him a little rub down with some...however I did have them all in a flat faunarium at one point
Spotted them on my scorpion yesterday, not good...

I have just ordered a load of predatory mites off a friend so I can use these, they sound very good!

Did the trick for me and got rid of the little buggers where other treatments including Hypoapsis mites failed miserably.

I think frontline is the best you can buy i have used it for the last 4 years and have never had a problem i have used it on boas pythons and corn king and rat snakes

if you want a chemical free treatment Cooking oil works well but makes a mess if you have mites get some frontline and the problem will be gone overnight

Do NOT use vaseline, my cornsnake is experiencing an allergy effect, some redness on the underside in parts...
