the easiest unstatted setup iv made consisted of a drawer system (ala the applemeister) with a glass heat panel in the drawer below which was a 20mm sealed gap, the heat strip ran all the way down the system and reached 88 constant, i only knew this worked becuase im a parnoid tweaker and i watch a thermometer readout for days before anything with a pulse goes near it.

experience is a very valuable tool, in learning as much from mistakes as successes.

This all depends on the size of the viv, the amount of ventilation & the wattage of the matt.
I couldnt give a toss if someone thinks i should have a stat....my snakes are happy & healthy & thats all that matters to me.
Wow, there's no end to the genius on this site.

in all the years they have had snakes no trouble with thermostats simple.
research is just asking one person?

No wonder I don't bother in here much.

The point here is that you should have known what you were doing instead of taking advice from one source and treating it as gospel.
You were wrong mate, there is no argument concerning stats. If you carry on like this, you are not going to make many friends here..
Just accept it........you have been told the same thing many times now.

If I remember rightly, it's you that freezes sick animals to death, not me.

Your memory seems to be playing tricks however since I have not killed anything.

Someone who freezes sick animals and advocates not using thermostats calling someone else stupid does seem a little hypocritical don't you think ?

WTF freeze your sick animals.

And im the bad one, im never taking your advice, and as for online friends i have 25 lol.

You didnt seem to think of taking your snake to the vets if it was ill. Like you said if you cant afford to care for an animal, dont own them.

Read the thread... It was not Paul that froze it, it was a friend of his with a venomous snake.
